Kaye Parker has reinvented herself many times over the course of her career. She has gone from classroom teacher to corporate trainer & facilitator. Now she wants to take what she has learned to a new level online.
“Confidence, courage and an enthusiasm for what you do gives you a competitive edge.” says this dynamo, who exudes optimism, spunk and a zest for life. That exuberance makes whatever she does fun and interesting for those who are taking part. Whether you are tapping into her skills and knowledge as a facilitator, speaker, coach, author, or small business owner. Kaye is willing to share what she has leaned on the road of life, without preaching or assuming she has all the answers.
As a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, past president of CAPS Atlantic and past editor of their national digital newsletter, Kaye has her own definition of success.
Success is the positive influence she has had on all those lives she has touched. At home, she instilled confidence and courage in her children. In the schoolroom she encouraged young students to blossom. In the tourism industry, she created excitement around history and culture. In the corporate training world, Kaye continues to inspire participants to be engaged and motivated to succeed in their workplace.
Never at a loss for something provocative to say, Kaye has hosted her own television program, and has written two business books: Creating Your Own Success as a Supervisor and Setting Goals that Can Change Your Life. She is co-editor of Twenty Winners at the Game of Life, and has been a contributing author to several other books, including Awaken the Workplace and Seeds of Diversity.
Kaye has a thirst for learning. Her credentials include: UNB( Education); St. Francis Xavier University (Adult Education), and a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation, with the National Speakers Association.
She was accredited by The Canadian Public Relations Society and the Canadian Human Resource Council. She enjoys using her advanced qualifications with the Myers Briggs Type Indicator to help people explore their own personality preferences to maximize their strengths. She has also trained as a personal efficiency coach, and as a professional recruiter.
Kaye founded the training, coaching and consulting firm of PBBA Atlantic Inc., now known as Think Training, and worked with clients for more than 17 years. Now she continues to work with Think Training on a part-time basis.
Kaye has more than fifteen years of industry experience in management positions at the senior level, both in government and private sector. She has been a journalist and a writer, and currently reviews business books for the Chronicle Herald, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
